6/5 Update : Schedules are now live.
Update on the 20th (not exactly sure when it started) Annual Hopkinton Summer Sizzler Baseball Tournament. Working on dates for a coaches meeting, but it will likely be the week of June 3rd in Hopkinton.
We are scheduled to open up the tournament on Wednesday, June 12th and the final Championship games should fall on Sunday, July 14th. Each team will play up to 9 games to earn a "seeding" into the final week of championship baseball. Single elimination round championship based upon the number of teams in each division. That means the champions and runner ups will play a total of 10 - 12 games. The last couple of years, we have received feedback that the 4th of July time frame is tough to schedule games. It's on a Thursday this year, so we will not have games Thursday, July 4 through Sunday, July 7.
8U: Players born between 9/1/2010 and 8/31/2011
9U: Players born between 9/1/2009 and 8/31/2010
10U: Players born between 9/1/2008 and 8/31/2009
11U: Players born between 9/1/2007 and 8/31/2008
12U: Players born between 9/1/2006 and 8/31/2007
As always, thanks all of the coaches and volunteers in advance for your participation and support. Our goal remains consistent with regard to the objectives of the tournament. To have a great time playing a competitive "B Level" tournament where all of the players can continue to develop their baseball skills on the diamond and making new friends in neighboring towns while providing the parents, the coaches and the fans some great baseball to watch.
